Swimming Pool
The West Reading Pool, located at 475 Museum Road, is one of the largest municipal pools in Berks County. Memberships are available to Borough residents and non-residents. Membership at the West Reading Pool allows members to take advantage of the tot pool with cascading umbrella, volleyball, and concession stand.

2026 Pool Membership Fees
Only people who are 18 years of age or older will be permitted to complete and sign a pool registration form. Proof of residency is required for a resident pool membership.
Any person under the age of 12 must always be accompanied by a responsible adult who meets the following criteria: is a seasonal member of the pool, or pays the daily swimmer rate.
Guest visitors ages 16 and older must provide identification to register for a pool pass.

Please Note:
Registration forms are available at Borough Hall and the pool.
Swimsuits are required; street clothing will not be allowed in the pool.
Registration card photos will be offered at Borough Hall during the winter months with the Recreation Director or at the pool on/after May 23, 2026. Please bring ID cards for a new sticker.
Swimming Lessons – TBA
Lessons are available for children ages 3 – 12. Swimming lessons are taught by a qualified water safety instructor. The cost for five 1/2-hour swim lessons are as follows:
- Resident Semi-private lessons: $105
- Non-resident Semi-private lessons: $205
Dates and times are based on the instructor’s availability. Group lessons consist of 3 – 5 members; semi-private lessons consist of 1 – 2 members.
Private lessons may also be arranged by visiting the front desk at the pool. All swim lesson forms will be available beginning Memorial Day weekend. Classes are limited to 3-5 students depending on skill level.

Beginner Level 2 – Frog

Pups at the Pool
Come swim with your furry friend! The pool will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2026 for “Pups at the Pool.”
Doggie Swim is open from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Fee: $10 ($5 entrance fee & $5 donation to the Humane Society)
Please rinse your furry friend before and after your day at the pool. Clean water is available adjacent to the pool deck.
