The Borough of West Reading, its Council, Mayor and Departments wish to welcome you to West Reading. We encourage you to take the time to browse through the various links listed on our website or within this guide to get you familiar with rules and regulations as well as various activities that go on in our Borough throughout the year.

The Borough Hall is located at 500 Chestnut Street in West Reading, PA and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Located in the Borough Hall are the Administration Offices including the Borough Manager, our Police Department, Codes/Zoning Office, Treasurer, and Recreation Coordinator’s Offices. Our Public Works Department works out of the Borough Maintenance Facility at 1st and Chestnut Streets. The West Reading Fire Department is located at 223 Playground Drive, near the Borough Swimming Pool and the playground. Our Police Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for your convenience.

Our Borough Hall is consistently busy. We have a large Council chamber which holds all business meetings including Borough Council, Planning, Zoning, Traffic, Infrastructure, and Recreation as well as meetings the Police Department or the Main Street Foundation/Authority may have. There is also a smaller meeting room for private meetings.  At the Borough Hall, residents and businesses may visit our Code Enforcement Department on permit and zoning issues, pay their water and sewer bill, handle their Bicentennial House Rental and receive information regarding the Borough and obtain recreation information.
