Council Person of the Year Award 2024

The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) recognized our own Ryan Lineaweaver as the Council Person of the Year!

Ryan was recognized for his distinguished service as Council President and exemplified selflessness over the past year in response to the R.M. Palmer factory explosion that made national news in March of 2023. Ryan spent hours of his personal time, including time away from his employment to assist in the oversight and recovery efforts to help residents that were impacted or displaced by this tragic event. In addition, Ryan ensured timely updates were provided to news media outlets on a daily basis in the initial aftermath of the incident. In doing so he provided assurance to residents that all measures were being taken to ensure community safety.

President Lineaweaver has also been active in sharing lessons learned with fellow municipal officials in how to respond in an unthinkable emergency situation. He’s authored an article in the June edition of the Borough News Magazine providing insights on how to be prepared and outlining best practices in communication during an emergency response. Ryan’s leadership is worthy of the Outstanding Council Member of the Year Award.
