Hello, West Reading neighbors!

As your mayor, it’s my honor to serve this vibrant and ever-evolving borough we call home. West Reading is a place where community thrives—whether it’s our buzzing local businesses, cherished events, or the incredible people who make it all possible. My mission is to champion transparency, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions that benefit everyone in our borough.

We’ve been fortunate to secure over $1.4 million in active grants, with more than $1.7 million awarded in the past two years. These grants are transforming our borough, enabling us to complete critical, costly upgrades that might otherwise be out of reach. These funds have supported essential projects, including replacing water mains, upgrading traffic lights, performing energy audits, and enhancing streetlights along Penn Avenue.

We’ve also been able to improve safety and accessibility through curb and sidewalk replacements, install upgraded security cameras, and create an Active Transportation Plan to ensure our community remains walkable and connected. Additionally, the gateway to Penn Avenue has seen much-needed updates, and our firefighters now have upgraded breathing apparatus to enhance their safety.

These achievements reflect the hard work and dedication of many. From our diligent staff, public works, police department, fire department, community volunteers, residents, and council members to the support of local & state leaders, it’s clear that West Reading excels at maximizing opportunities to improve our borough. Every grant represents a step toward a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community!
