The Borough of West Reading Solicitation Ordinance is designed to keep citizens safe. Applicants are required to consent to a criminal background check and to display their borough-issued identification at all times.
Vendor Rules and Regulations:
- Solicitors may not enter any home or place of business without an invitation.
- Solicitors may only engage in activity between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
- Solicitors may not cut across or walk upon any front lawn, back yard, or courtyard.
- Solicitors may only approach the main entrance.
- Solicitation is not permitted in borough parks or playgrounds.
