Help shape the future of your community by becoming a volunteer member of one of your local boards or committees. These resident-led groups help shape public policy, direct economic development, provide local services and make tremendous positive contributions to our quality of life. Public service is a valuable resource, and your time is greatly appreciated. You can make a huge difference by contributing just a few hours each month.

The following is a list of boards/committees with current vacancies:

  • Finance Committee (2 vacancies)
  • Environmental Advisory Council (1 vacancy)
  • Economic Development Committee (1 vacancy)
  • Civil Service Commission Alternate Member (1 vacancy)
  • July 4th Ad Hoc Committee – The Council President is encouraging community involvement in planning future July 4th events. A minimum of 4 to 6 community volunteers is needed to get the process started. The committee will work alongside the Council President, Recreation Director, and Recreation Commission to put ideas into action. We’re interested in hearing which old traditions should be brought back and in creating new ones.

Please include your contact information so we can reach you about a possible board appointment. Typically, appointments are made during the annual Reorganization Meeting in January. However, appointments to fill vacancies occur throughout the year.
