Update on Water Issue
From the Western Berks Water Authority...
The water is safe for use and consumption. The odor or taste issue was caused by a water main break that occurred in Bern Township. The tank was drained down and had a staleness taste to it and then boosted chlorine for disinfection. This will clear itself up shortly.
To help speed the process some hydrants will be flushed. You are welcome to use bottled water for the time being, but the water is safe to drink and can be used for daily use. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact Borough Hall at 610-374-8273
