DESCRIPTION:The weekly Sunday Summer Farmers’ Market will take place on the 500 block of Penn Avenue and South Sixth Avenue\, West Reading\, from 10 AM to 1 PM\, rain or shine. \nThe WRFM is entering its 20th season as a producer-only outdoor farmers’ market. Every vendor is a hand-picked small-scale farmer (produce\, livestock\, or dairy) or food business located within 50 miles of West Reading. Each item is grown\, raised\, or hand-made. Our passion is educating our customers on the benefits and positive impact of committing to supporting locally grown and produced foods. We offer a variety of seasonal vegetables and fruits\, artisan pastries\, cookies\, and organic breads\, pastured meats\, poultry\, and eggs\, cheeses\, raw local honey\, hand-made ravioli and pasta\, olive oil\, locally roasted coffee and blended teas\, fresh cut flowers\, herbal tinctures and body products\, locally fermented cider and beer. All value-added producers are highly encouraged to source local ingredients whenever possible. \nEvery market features live music\, free samples\, and our primary goal of serving as a gathering place for those who love local foods\, while supporting our vendors in getting their goods to the community.
