Annual Drinking Water Quality Report

Every year the Borough provides all of our water users with a water quality report for the previous year. The report contains important information regarding the source and quality of your drinking water. In lieu of mailing a paper copy to each residence in the Borough, we are providing the information on our website which you may access by viewing the file attachment below.  However, should you still wish to have a copy mailed to you, please contact the Administration Department at 610-374-8273, ext. 221 and we will be happy to mail the information to your residence.

Also, Western Berks Water Authority has prepared a Source Water Assessment Public Summary to provide information to support local and state efforts to protect the quality of its drinking water sources. Information is provided such as whom to call to report various situations such as illegal dumping and related pollution activities.

Current Drinking Water Notifications

The Borough of West Reading is required to notify its customers in accordance with the Public Notification Rule (PN) which is part of the Safe Drinking Water Act. The rule ensures that customers will know if there is a problem with their drinking water. These notices alert customers if there is a risk to public health, or provide information that the water supply system is in compliance based on sampling events that have occurred. The file(s) below have been provided in accordance with this rule.
